Supporting local people with learning disabilities.
Dimensions was established in May 1975 and are now one of the largest support organisations in the UK, supporting over 3,000 people who have learning disabilities. In The London Borough of Hillingdon we currently support three services, a supported living service, Hillingdon Outreach and our new Drop-in and Preventative service.
Dimensions aim is to support people to achieve the highest level of independence and social participation, whether it is through daily living skills, education & employment, money skills, literacy, housing and financial support or health and wellbeing.
As part of our new drop in & preventative services we have a stall at Uxbridge Craft Market every Wednesday in the Pavilions Shopping Centre, Uxbridge which is run by the people we support. The ladies and gentlemen in the group put lots of planning into their stall and the products that they sell.
We currently have handmade greetings cards, trinket boxes, necklaces and photo frames, with plenty more items in the making.
Many of the products are made by the people we support at arts and crafts groups run at the drop in sessions.
See us every Wednesday at the craft market
